Twentieth Anniversary of Carlo Sciarrelli (1934–2006). Naval architecture between history, technique and restoration. Keynote lecture by architect Mario Cucinella.
Anaunia sponsored the conference “Carlo Sciarrelli Centenary (1934–2006). Naval architecture between history, technique and restoration”, organized by the Order of Architects P.P.C. of Rimini in collaboration with Archirì, the Department of Industrial Engineering of the University of Bologna and the Yacht Club Rimini.
The event, scheduled for 6 June 2026 at the Yacht Club Darsena di Rimini, was an opportunity to explore the figure of Carlo Sciarrelli, designer and master of naval architecture, capable of combining history, technique, design culture and a passion for the sea.
Among the main moments of the day was the keynote lecture by architect Mario Cucinella, entitled “Spaces in Balance. Naval architecture between science and beauty”, together with testimonies from boat owners and experts on the maintenance and everyday use of the boats designed by Sciarrelli.
The programme also included an exhibition featuring several boats designed by Carlo Sciarrelli at the Darsena pier, offering the public the opportunity to discover up close a design heritage of great historical and technical value.
Anaunia’s participation as a sponsor confirms the company’s attention to design culture, architecture and initiatives that promote quality, research and the enhancement of the local area.
It was an opportunity for meeting and discussion, where technique, beauty and design memory came together in an open dialogue between professionals, institutions and the public.
